I love this picture of our family. Your dad and I were on cloud nine with you (we still are). You were one month and a few days in this picture... and still so tiny! We had these pictures taken for your birth announcements, but we ended up just sending it out on our Christmas cards.
Look how sweet you are looking up at us. You melt my heart. Over and over... and over again.

Meeting you
Since I am starting this later than I wanted to, I don't remember as much as I would have liked to. But, I do have some pictures, and I do remember a few things. Your dad stayed home from work for a week to be with us and both your Grandma's flew out and doted on you as much as I would let them.
Our adventure at the hospital is one that I won't rehash. One because I was so out of it I can't remember many details that well, and two is because some of the details I can remember I would like to forget so that maybe one day you can have a brother, sister, or both!
To be fair and honest though Buddy, there are a lot of details that I do remember that are so sweet and wonderful they make cry thinking back over them. The day that we got to meet you and see your face for the first time was the most surreal experience ever. Nothing could have prepped me for how amazing that moment was. I was so in love the second I saw you and so blown away that you were ours I remember nothing else in the room at all. No doctors, no nurses, no bright lights in my face, and no pain. Just you laying quietly on my chest and your sweet face looking up at me. I will remember that forever.
Here are some pictures from the hospital:

Daddy holding you for the first time, and one of the few times that I've seen your dad get teary eyed.

In our hospital room the morning after you were born. We were all so tired...
especially you!

Dear Noah,
I'm starting this journal late, but I figured better late than never... right? I wanted to keep a journal for you-something where your dad and I could write our prayers, stories, and memories that we have with you. We also wanted a place to post pictures and video's of you that could never be lost. We want you to have this so that one day you can look back at yourself and see how much you've learned, grown, and experienced.
You're changing so fast and growing so quickly that it's hard for me to keep up with you! It's so crazy to think that only about two and a half months ago I was just getting to meet you face to face for the first time, and now you're talking to me as I write this. I absolutely love listening to your coo's and jabbering... nothing is more fun for me right now. In fact, your dad and I will turn off the radio, TV, or whatever... just to listen to you. You melt our hearts like we didn't know was possible. Your dad and I love you so much and we can't believe that God blessed us with you, sweet boy. You are a perfect example of how God gives good gifts to his children, even though they don't deserve them.
Anyways, cheers to this journal and to you, my sweet boy. You couldn't be more of a joy to us. I cried last night telling your dad that. I never thought I would love being a mommy like I do.
Thanks for changing my mind and thanks for being mine.
I'm the luckiest mom in the whole wide world.
